Our first meeting of the 2011-2012 session got off to a rousing start last Monday when Installing Officer Liz Duncan appointed the new Board, which comprises:-
Iris Gibson (President); Eileen Ritchie (Vice-President); Scilla Berry (Secretary) and Louise Laing (Treasurer).

New President Iris Gibson thanked Liz for taking time out of her very busy schedule to install the Board and announced that the theme for the session would be "Celebrating Success" or, in the vernacular, "Wha's Like Us?"
The evening's theme was "Breaking Up" which prompted a wide variety of stimulating topics on that theme. The education session on "How to Structure a Speech" was thought particularly relevant as it would serve old and new members well for the upcoming session and was followed by two very entertaining speeches.
The evening ended with our Business Meeting. The theme for next meeting, scheduled to take place on Monday 19th September at 7.15 at Pollokshields Burgh Hall, is " A Big Mess".
